Set up in about
five minutes.
Two pieces: the Glenica extension in your browser, and a small companion app that runs on your computer and connects it to your AI.
- 1
Add the extension to your browser
The Chrome Web Store listing is in review. Until it goes live, get the early-access build from GitHub and load it into your browser yourself. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers. Not Firefox or Safari yet.
- aUnzip the download into a folder you will keep.
- bOpen
chrome://extensionsin your browser. - cTurn on Developer mode, top right.
- dClick Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
When the store version arrives, Glenica tells you and you switch over in a minute.
- 2
Install the companion app
It connects the extension to your AI provider and runs only on your computer, in a
.glenicafolder in your home directory.Open PowerShell (not Command Prompt) and paste this:
irm https://get.glenica.com/win | iexOpen Terminal and paste this:
curl -fsSL https://get.glenica.com/install.sh | bashOpen a terminal and paste this:
curl -fsSL https://get.glenica.com/install.sh | bashNo Node.js needed. If yours is missing or old, the installer brings a private copy.
- 3
Open n8n and finish setup
Open any workflow and click the Glenica button. Setup walks you through three things:
- Make an account and start the 14-day free trial
- Choose your AI: a Claude Pro or Max plan, or OpenRouter
- Confirm the companion app is connected
Then it is right there.
Glenica opens as a sidebar in your n8n editor, ready for the first thing you want built.
If something is stuck
Still stuck? Write to support@glenica.com.
Check that you pasted the command into PowerShell, not Command Prompt. It starts with irm, which only PowerShell understands.
Let the command finish and say it is done, then click Check again in the setup tab. Still nothing? Restart your browser once so it sees the newly installed app.
n8n Cloud works straight away. For any other address, open the Glenica toolbar popup and turn on detection for other sites. Your browser asks you to confirm, and you can leave out any site later.
No. If your computer has no recent Node.js, the installer fetches a private copy just for Glenica and leaves the rest of your system alone.
